Presentation of the “Quarterly Mediameter" in Brussels

It is our pleasure to cordially invite you to the conference organized by the Public Policy Institute and Ebart Media Archive on the occasion of presenation of the research "Quarterly Mediameter - Analysis of the print media in Serbia". Conference will be held on Thuesday, November 10, 2015 at 15.00 PM at Conference room A5E3 in European Parliament, Brussels, 60 rue Wiertz / Wiertzstraat 60.

The main topics of discussion will be research methodology and results, state of the Serbian media, media freedom and editorial policy.

"Quarterly Mediameter" is a research and scientific-expert project designed to monitor the print media in Serbia through both analysis of value judgments and discourse analysis.

Due to lack of the statistical data and facts about print media in Serbia, Public Policy Institute in cooperation with EBART Media archive and distinguished media experts, launched the project “Quarterly Mediameter – Analysis of the print media in Serbia” at the beginning of 2015. Mediameter is aimed at improving the professional and ethical standards of media reporting and analysis.

This analysis includes articles from front pages of daily newspapers Politika, Večernje novosti, Blic, Danas, Kurir, Alo! and Informer, as well as weeklies Vreme, NIN, Novi Magazin, Nedeljnik and Pečat.

Quarterly Mediameter will be presented in Brussels by authors Velimir Ćurgus Kazimir, editor and prof. Dejan Vuk Stanković, author of discourse analysis. Moderator: Mario David, former MEP, Vice -Chair of CDI and member of Public Policy Institute Board of Trustees.
