Selena Tasic, program manager at the Public Policy Institute participated in a conference on "The Regional Dialogue on Gender and Security: Uniting Governments’ and CSOs’ Efforts in Implementation of the UNSCR 1325 Agenda.”
The conference was dedicated to the inclusion of women in the security sector and was organized in Ohrid on April 25th and 26th of 2013. Special attention was paid to ways of measuring the success of the implementation of Resolution 1325 in the region, the lessons learned from previous regional initiatives and methods to improve cooperation between governmental and civic society sector. This regional meeting is organized within the project "Building Gender and Security network in the Western Balkans," supported by UN Women.
