The representatives of the Public Policy Institute at the ASEEES yearly convention in United States. The program manager of the Public Policy Institute, Selena Tasić, and Danko Aleksić, the representative of the Regional center for environment and associate of the Public Policy Institute, will take part as panelists on the 46th yearly convention of the Association for Slavic, Eastern European and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES), which will be held in San Antonio, Texas, USA, in November 2014. The Association for Slavic, East European, and Eurasian Studies (ASEEES) was founded in 1948 as a non-for-profit, non-partisan and scientific society. It is the leading international institution dedicated to the studies of Central Asia, Caucasus, Russia and Eastern Europe, both in regional and global context.
One of the main activities of the Association is yearly convention, which is being held every year in a different city. As an international forum, it provides exchange of information and ideas, encouraging further work and preserving intellectual vigor.
The topic of the 46th convention is “25 Years After the Fall of the Berlin Wall: historical heritage and new beginnings”.
Selena Tasić will participate with the topic “Discussion between political parties about the accession to NATO: The Case of Montenegro”, while Danko Aleksić will present his topic “The discourse of political parties about the European Union and NATO: the Cases of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Serbia”.
