Project goals

Study that provides precise information on current institutional set up, administrative capacities, institutional gaps and needs for future capacity building in field of Enviromental protection in Montenegro.

The Study provide:

  • Precise information on current institutional set up; administrative capacities; institutional gaps; needs for further capacity building; applicable coordination mechanisms (both vertical and horizontal) in each identified sector;
  • Evaluation of existing institutional models, list of main gaps and needs;
  • Proposals for improvement of models, including the proposals for revision of legal and institutional framework and establishment of new institutions of relevance for identified sectors;
  • List and timetable of activities and overview of competent authorities for its implementation.

The Study is based on findings from Study for strengthening administrative capacities of environmental institutions, approved by Beneficiary and performed by IPP experts.

Beneficiary institution is the Ministry of Sustainable Development and Tourism.
