Project goals

Motivating youth for politics, leadership and activism and making them understand decision-making process and structure of NATO.

NATO Youth Summit is one of the most important projects for young people from 28 member states of NATO and the countries that are in the process of Euro-Atlantic integration. The goal of the simulation is that young people around the world during one week to simulate an authentic NATO summit, through panels, discussions and meetings of delegates from 28 member countries and future members.NATO Simulation for Youth is a project which brought more than 160 young people from 51 countries around the world to the capital of Montenegro. During those 7 days of December, Montenegro was in the limelight not only domestically, but also globally, through the media, social networking and online presentation of delegations from around the world. This was an important recognition of Montenegro and an incentive for young people to become more involved in projects that strengthen the confidence of the public opinion in NATO integration, is of an immeasurable importance for the further reform process and communication with the Montenegrin public. MoNYS 2014 was jointly organized by MoNYS Brussels and their local partner in Montnegro Public Policy Institute from 1-7th December in Podgorica.
